The principal is simple, you put the mulch on at least 10cms deep and that’s it for usually up to 2 years, smothering the weeds but also naturally feeding and keeping your plants healthy. The way nature intended – no need to use weed mat. To measure how much you need the general rule is 10sqm of garden needs 1m3 to cover it sufficiently to do the job well.
